I have been an Illustrator all my life. Simply put, drawing is my passion—it's got a place in my heart right next to sewing.
Growing up on Long Island, NY I found inspiration for my love of drawing in everything from the beaches to the unique people living around the island. I spent endless hours drawing and perfecting my craft.
As an adult I moved to NYC and worked for The McCall Pattern Company, which manufactures Butterick, Kwik Sew, McCall's and Vogue sewing patterns. For 16 years I was a Senior Illustrator, drawing highly-detailed, technical illustrations for pattern guide sheets; and was also Assistant for the Technichal Origination Department. This job gave me the chance to blend my two loves drawing and sewing.
For the last 5 of years, I have also been a contributing illustrator to numerous technical articles for Vogue Patterns magazine including Corset Building, Tambour Beading, Darning, and Ribbon Flowers, to name just a few.
As of June 2015 I am venturing on my own, working as a Freelance Illustrator as I build my own company.
I love everything and anything that has to do with illustrating, sewing and creating!
